What is this course for?
This 12 week course is designed to move you from the decision of becoming an Independent Midwife to be up and running in just 3 months.
Most Midwives that have been through this course currently have an NHS contract, so 3 months allows you to be setup and running by the time you finish your notice period.
Implementing everything I learnt in setting up my own IM practice, I have brought together everything I wish someone had told me, that would have helped me to avoid all the common mistakes that I made while.
I have brought together other experts in their field to explain elements that you may not have considered before, such as SEO, bookkeeping and social media content creation.
If you're determined to set up faster or you're in absolutely no hurry, you can work through at your own preferred pace.

Back in 2022, when birth indemnity insurance returned, I was one of the first group of 6 Midwives to become registered to support birth independently in the UK. I had been an Independent Midwife 13 years before this, surely it would be similar to set up and promote my business?
Absolutely not! Since I had last been an IM, the world had gone digital, so handing out flyers and posting letters just wasn't going to cut it this time.
I had to learn everything about setting up in business, marketing, communication channels, and legalities from scratch.
I was the bread winner in my big family of 7, so I absolutely had to make this work as a full-time job, not just a passion project.
I made alot of time-wasting mistakes, and I wished there had been a practical, step-by-step guide on how to do it - So I have created the course that I wish existed for me.
2 years on, my IM practice makes over £100k each year, and we've supported over 32 families to take back control of their maternity care and birthing experiences. We have a 95% vaginal birth rate, supporting a 50/50 mix of complicated and uncomplicated pregnancies. 85% of families that book to birth at home achieve it. We're honoured to watch huge transformations and healing experiences.
